About Us

Welltan Fashions is one of the largest tanneries in Kolkata, India, proudly holding the prestigious LWG Gold Rating for its commitment to sustainable and high-quality leather production. As a leading name in the leather industry, Welltan Fashions was established by Stichwell Exports, a renowned Star Export House specializing in leather goods manufacturing.
The primary objective behind the establishment of Welltan Fashions was to create an enhanced approach for producing premium quality leather that meets both domestic and international standards.

Raw Materials & Products

At Welltan Fashions, we specialize in the production of Cow, Goat, and Sheep leathers, available in Naked, Finished, and Crust forms. Our leathers are crafted from both Indian and imported raw materials, with Cow Hides sourced from premium suppliers in New Zealand, Brazil, Poland, Italy, and Germany. Our exclusive product range is designed to add significant value to Leather Goods, Belts, and Footwear.

In a remarkably short period,the tannery has rapidly scaled its production capabilities, consistently delivering substantial volumes of high-quality leather each month.

Quality Control

At Welltan Fashions, we implement a rigorous three-layer quality control process for each batch of our products to ensure the highest standards of excellence

Wet Blue Selection

We begin by carefully selecting different grades of Wet Blue to produce premium leathers, including Embossed, Oily & Waxy, and Drum Dyed (DD) Finish leathers. This selection process ensures that only the finest raw materials proceed to the next stage.

Crust Selection

Following drum dyeing & other mechanical operations, each batch undergoes a strict selection process. This stage helps us identify hidden defects that may not be visible during the Wet Blue stage, ensuring that only high-quality leather moves forward.

Finished Goods Selection

Before packing, the finished goods from all batches are thoroughly inspected. At this stage, we conduct specialized tests including Dry Rub Test, Wet Rub Test, Thickness Consistency, Peel-Off Test, & Crack Test to ensure perfection & durability of the leather.
